Seriously? difficulty? woogita-wha?
well...I suppose putting all your points into non-combat skills might do the trick, but even then you can still use basic weapons like the dagger (which with decent dex is actually a little overpowered...)or the rusted pistol i think...and the better cloth armors provide very decent AC.
I think some people have issues other than what the game is providing.
IE expecting the game to graduate the enemies slowly or something.
You go past Tarant, expect rock rats.
They want easy mode, just put points into summoning and energy magic.
(nothing like spawning orcs/ogres and backing away slowly, spawning more as needed)

Pretty well done if one fail at this game. I'm not saying that you will never have to reload, but it is fairly easy.

And I did a play through yesterday, Gun techie, damn it is easy :P
When I got Droch's warbringer, the game is over xD Such a OP weapon..

I never got that gun...I eventually settled on the vendigroth pistol, the one you make out of the gun you find in the vendigroth ruins.

a pistol you make with your primitive knowledge out of a long gun made by high techno-wizards is better somehow lol.

edit: I'd understand if it was a range vs. damage choice or something...but I recall the first gun being worse than the second.

The gun which you make from vendigroth is the Droch's Warbringer D: 20-40, FT: 1-10, RNG: 15. Wgt: 80, Spd: 8, HPs: 80

So awesome :P

well...nm then!

ahem...so did you ever try out the pharmaceuticals line? it -seems- kinda useless, but there are some truly butt kicking recipes to be found, like the necro-whatsit injector.
Just like the advert says, I really WAS tired of people dying on me!

edit: And it's a damn shame you need to use a mod "patch" to make the electric line useful. But I never took off that pair of electric rings i made in the beginning of the game.

Not quite sure what you are pointing at, but you have a recipe that grants you a permanent bonus to some stats. Hard to make, but worth it for free stats - I don't quite recall the name of it, and I'm to lazy to enter the game and check it out xD

And what is not to love about those two electro rings, 4+ DEX is pretty OP at low level.
However, you can find non-magical rings that gives you like 4+ CON and such.

I remember them improving speed only...putting them together with a fast gun/weapon was way OP.
Ammo hungry though...

Speaking of which, what was the deal with advanced guns firing more than one bullet at once? I understand the need for balance but lugging around 2k rounds to feed my massive cannon was annoying as hell.
Did you ever try the blade cannon? that was one gun that totally needed it's own animation set.

I don't think that there is a weapon in game that I haven't tried. But I felt the blade launcher lacked the dmg/speed. Once I have droch's weapon, there is no other ^^ I usually go for the fine revolver until I have it, because of the speed.
And I'm never lacking of bullet because I can lock pick any store in Arcanum :P
