I did it very quickly and used the program "SketchUp"

At the atomic symbol was a wonderful palette, may be better to use it to paint Arcanum's logo under the buttons?
It looks great! I do like both version, glassy, and the other. Your combination look best of them, I think. However, I was unable to replicate your version 100%.

Here is the result:

About the atomic symbol, I'll try to do something about it. ;)

Thanks for your effort!

Edit: I did "something" with the background symbol:

I've tried to apply the style from the atomic symbol, but it didn't look good, so I tried something else. Does it look better, or worse?:)

Definitely better, but it now looks as though it is cut inside, try to make a convex surface.

I just cut out the wall from the right picture and paste in left picture :D

In the black version, I actually wanted to make the symbol look like it was burned into the wood. Now, I was attempting to make it look like imprint, with old paint.

I've tried to make it more or less bumpy, but it looks quite distracting at the background. I think that it looks better without any bevel:

:D And do you like the last version? I'm not sure about it. I think that the last "glassy" version looked better, and it really looked like a glass tube/vial.

I'll wait what others are going to say about it, before I change the fatigue bar too. ;)

Indeed, it is better.

Just a glass bulb, perhaps better suited to it, but something is wrong, may be excessively dark edges?

Oh yeah, the edges... I'll try to do something with it. Anyway, I've tried to make the top panel more symmetric/balanced, and here is preview: Image

What do you think? Does it look better? Any ideas how to make it look better?:)

It seems to me that the top panel is overloaded objects and too large

I see what you mean. But there is really not so many objects. I think that it makes such impression because of those rivets, as there is many of them, and they are also pretty big.

About the size of the top panel, well it's the same size as in previous picture, I didn't make it bigger. Also note that the bottom panel is also big. I made these panels big because most of today's players have larger LCD monitors (> 20 inch), and before the OpenArcanum gets finished (2+ years), almost everybody is going to have at least 24 inch monitors, I think.

I've seen some screenshots from Arcanum with Hi-Res patch, and the original interface is really, really small for such high resolution. The picture above is 1024x768 (I made it on my old 17 inch monitor), and you can see that there is plenty of space empty for world scenery.

I just bought a new LCD monitor today, it's 24 inch (1920x1200, IPS), and my version of the GUI is also small for such resolution, but it's still larger than original. :)
So I'll definitely change the amount of objects, but not the size ;)

Edit: What about this:

Better? :?

Well, right you are. Just me never used Hi-Res patch.

I dunno lol

Also. You can give me texture of the metal and the interface outlines? I wanted to try to make them some options, too.

I have tried Hi-Res patch and I state that the previous interface was enormously small for nowadays monitors and comparing to even smaller world objects, I think that your size of interface is quite fitting and I like additional objects on it, because the they and the size of the bars give a special Arcanum atmosphere. :) I would only just try to fix the vertical symmetry of the left panel.
