The OpenArcanum development continues

Howdy,

I just want to let you know that I have started to work on OpenArcanum again, which means that you can expect next progress report "soon". ;)

I plan to do these tasks:
-Write tool that will convert protos, mobiles and maps into text format - XML documents.
-Rewrite classes for game objects - implement loading from XML documents.
-Write XML document compiler. // EDIT: Not required right now.
-Rewrite engine core - implement client/server architecture.
-Bind engine to Lua interface.
-Get everything to work, so sources codes may be compiled.

P.S. I have started to work on it even when I still have some unresolved obligations - especially in school, so you should not expect some rapid progress, I'm not superman, but I assure you that it will go at least smoothly :roll: (This message was written especially for those who are waiting for source code release, so please don't write me emails with questions like "when it will be". Thank you. ;))

btw, I wanted to know some stats about OpenArcanum's source codes, so I downloaded tool called "SourceMonitor" and here is results:

...I know, nothing marvelous, but its only code that I wrote by myself, excluding third party code :D

Update: Today, I successfully finished this semester, so now I can work at full time ;) plus I will post some progress report soon, so stay tuned... :dance:

This is awesome! :) Glad to hear that you will resume working on OpenArcanum. I wish that I knew anything about coding, sadly, I know as much about coding as G.W Bush knows about running a country.
